Chrome Oxide Green

Chrome Oxide Green (PG 17) is an inorganic pigments. Cr2O3 is the basic chemical composition.

Chrome Oxide Greens are used in a wide variety of applications because of its excellent opacity, outdoor durability and heat fastness. Its hardness is also highly valued for surface finishing, where Chrome Oxide Greens are used as abrasive components. They are also used as a base oxide to produce several other metal oxide based pigments. Chromium(III) oxide is an inorganic compound with the formula Cr ₂O ₃. It is one of the principal oxides of chromium and is used as a pigment. In nature, it occurs as the rare mineral eskolaite.
